Have JART, Will Travel
Well, the time has come for my wife and I to get out of town for a couple of weeks. It's summer and she's a teacher and she's had a terrible year so this is really needed. I'll do my best to stay up to date with emails, but I may not quite be as quick as usual. If you have any questions or converns please do get in touch and I will respond as soon as possible.
Cheers All!,

Greg Beshouri
In days gone by, there existed many orders of JARThood which recognized the skill and honor of their members.
The Society created the Royal Order of JART, which consists equally of the Dude Pilots and Gentleman Geeks, to recognize outstanding RC toy achievement and the attainment of those qualities and abilities which are a mark of a Peer.
Members of the Royal Order of JART are mighty warriors, but they are also skilled in the arts, and have given of their time to the benefit of the common weal. As such, they have been recognized as Peers of the Realm. Their Majesties now call before them the Companions of the Order of JART here assembled.
Then having sworn these solemn oaths, know now that We do dub you with Our pointy thing, and by all that you hold sacred, true, and holy... Once for Honor... Twice for Duty... Thrice for Chivalry... Arise, Sir Beshouri!.

Brian Stenild
Back in '07 Brian sent me these photos of his scratch-built JART. Eventually, he created molds for all of the major parts of his version of the JART, and you can take a look at his process on this thread.
When Brian sent me these photos he sent me a quick note:
"It is a long time since I have written to you. But we still build and fly the JART:0)
I am sending you some of the pictures we have taken, I have a lot and you can see more on my thread."

Nino Barcelo &
Steve Breen
My second favorite slope event is the PSS Festival in Southern California. In '07 I met up with two Utah slopers who'd each scratch-built their own JARTs. Steve and Nino were both gregarious, enthusiastic slopers and I enjoyed their company. They may not have known it, but when they each let me fly their planes, they were providing me a great highlight, not only of that particular event, but of my sloping career (sorry about the landings, lads).
Here's what Nino had to say about that day, in an email he wrote me some months later...
"I had a great time there! It was nice putting some faces to the names on rcgroups. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and willing to help me and answer questions. The food on Sat. hit the spot. It was nice to see Steve place in the competition. The best was when I won the Airtronics raido!! I have just finisned installing it in my new sailplane!
When I tagged along with Steve two years ago when the festival was here in Utah, I never thought I could build something without having the parts in a kit form. It was a real learning experience building a JART, and then to top it off I got to meet the guy who came up with the design (you). Then you flew my plane too! Awesome!! No big deal about the landing. I have had plenty of bad landings myself.
Like I told you before I am working on making a mold for the JART fuse. I need something a little lighter to fly when the winds arent very strong at point of the mountain."

Steve Breen's is in yellow and Nino's has the BombPop paint job. I got to fly both!

Daniel Judson
Daniel built this very cool, very small foamie version of the JART for his home slope in Otford, Australia. He also did a nice job editing this video of the maiden flight.

Anders Molin
Anders and his buddy, Andreas, went full hog and built their own unique molds for their midget version of the JART. Here's a link to the build thread and here's what he has to say about it:
"Hi Reed. Anders Molin from sweden here.
Maybe you remember that you sent me a JART plan for some while ago (must have been a year at least).
Andreas K and I have finally finished our hacked JART (The JART xs :)
It had it's maiden last week and I must say that it flew really well.
Here are some pictures that can be added to the JARTWorld website.
I think that it would add something new due to the fact that we made a mold for the fuse consisting of three parts."
